Stan Webb is recognised high in the top ten of British blues guitarists. He started Chicken Shack in 1965 and within two years they were topping the charts with‘I’d Rather Go Blind.’
Stan’s style owes much to his friend and mentor, the legendary Freddie King, who inspired Stan Webb's delicate vibrato and sustain, and above all else his emotive blues tone.
Aside from a stint with Canned Heat (the only UK guitarist to ever play with them) and Savoy Brown, Stan continues to tour Chickenshack in Europe and occasionally in the UK.
