"Boyfriend" - The Undercover Hippy (OFFICIAL VIDEO) Hello we're back, after a little break, this Saturday April 9th with Undercover Hippy + support Velvet & Stone: Kingskerswell Parish Church Doors 7pm £8 adv 01803 875527 Billy Rowan, aka The Undercover Hippy, is definitely not your average singer songwriter. His music brings together acoustic guitar, soulful vocals, infectious reggae rhythms, and the lyrical delivery of a skilled mc. Combining intelligent, provocative lyrics with dangerously catchy hooks and a feel good groove, this is music for the thinking man to shake his arse to. Think Jason Mraz meets The Cat Empire…on a protest march…at the Edinburgh Fringe. “This is about as real as music gets!”BBC Introducing. Lara, Kat and Holly are Devon-based, alt-folk trio Velvet & Stone. Combining rich vocals, acoustic guitar and soaring violin, the trio provide an original take on a traditional genre. Drawing upon personal stories, melancholy West Country tales and the natural world, they create a serene, haunting and original sound.Formed by “fates colliding” at a Devon pub in February 2014, the talented trio soon won a singer-songwriter competition, giving them the opportunity to record their first record - The Storm. Coming soon - Lucy Ward, Mike Peters presents The Alarm – Spirit of ’86 in 2016, Nordic Fiddlers Bloc, 3 Daft Monkeys, Sam Carter & ‘Seven Days In May’
