Witness two leading folk musicians perform an array of captivating
tunes. Andreas Tophøj and Rune Barslund perform with violin, accordion
and viola. The two Danes emerged from the folk scene formed arond the
Academy of Music in Odense, and their sound is closely linked to Danish
folk tradition. The duo combine their roots with the inspiration
collected from residing in Ireland and the US, and from encounter with
Celtic and Nordic musicians and cultures.
Their repertoire is based
on a compelling musical melting pot and mainly features original
compositions, such as their track 'The Danish Immigrant', winner of
track of the year at the Danish Music Awards Folk
