On August 3rd we have a very special guest at Kingskerswell Church 01803 875527from America with the Sarah Savoy Band.
From accordion to guitar to washboard or triangle, Sarah's vocal style has been compared to that of Patsy Cline, Patti Smith and Wanda Jackson, her musicians are all multi-instrumentalists as well and thoroughly enjoy switching around on stage. Born and raised in Savoy, Louisiana, in a family considered "Cajun royalty", father, Marc, makes the Acadian brand accordion, considered to be the finest single-row diatonic in the world; mother, Ann, wrote the reference on Cajun music, "Cajun Music:, A Reflection of a People".
